We're planning on redecorating our 5-year-old daughter's room, and we want to transition it from a toddler room to a big girl room. Do you have any recommendations as to how to do this?
Little girls and big girls love fancy, romantic, fairy tale beds how about a canopy bed? If she is more of a tomboy, try a bunkbed set for sleepovers. Whatever you choose, remember that children spend a great deal of time in their rooms playing, studying and sleeping choose furniture that fits your child's physical needs but also his or her dreams.
We've got three young children and a dog, and we're in the process of buying a new sofa for our family room. What do you suggest we buy?
Leather is an excellent choice for children and pets. It is easy to care for and clean. Other alternatives are denim or canvas slipcovers for a sofa and chairs. Other upholstery such as darker plaids tend not to show dirt and stains as much, however it may not be the best choice if you have a dog or cat with white/yellow fur.
